We are born with 5 senses. We indulge on only 4 of the 5 repetitively everyday! However the sense of smell is only used for food or foul odors in ones surroundings.
To close your eyes in a silent room with no distractions while smelling various sumptious raw materials is a whole new heavenly escape that doesn't involve the ears, eyes, touch or taste.
People say you only live once. You must enjoy every moment. Most of those people neglect 1 out of the 5 senses so are they living? Yours truly, "Scentsei" (Master of Perfume) believe that this is not how one fully enjoys life!
History of Scentsei
Being born and raised in NYC (The South Bronx) where famous notables were also born and bred, such as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, I happen to enjoy many scents that I was surrounded by as a youngster without even knowing what in the world my nostril was truly admiring. I grew up smelling scents such as what my Grandparents wore, like the 1964 Faberge classic Brut and the 1921 Ernest Beaux creation Chanel No.5. Then there was the scents my parents wore such as the 1981 Giorgio Beverly Hills by perfumer Bob Aliano, a top seller at that time. My pops was not as high end as he wore the 1981 inexpensive Coty HIT, Stetson but also loved the 1781 iconic Creed scent by James Henry Creed called English Leather which was not expensive however hard to come by in the USA.
My ultimate true love for perfume started when I was 11 years old in 1989 with the purchase of my first ever fragrance that I paid $23 for in the lovely island of Puerto Rico. A 1974 iconic creation by perfumer Paul Leger called Gentleman - Givenchy.
Oddly enough, I fell in love with smelling myself, but then the compliments followed which really left me wanting more. With no idea on what life had to offer I continued purchasing one scent a year. Next came the 1988 masterpiece by Master Perfumer Michel Almairac known as Fahrenheit, then came 1989 creation by yet again Michel Almairac called JOOP! then followed the 1992 HIT Sophia Grojsman creation 360 by Perry Ellis, followed by Alberto Morillas SMASH HIT ckONE and the list goes on.
Turned 18, I then went on to work at Saks Fifth Avenue NY as a stock guy in men's shirt and ties. Exploring the cigar shop that once existed in the dept called Alfred Dunhill I started smelling their cigars and whiskeys, so I then asked the Dunhill manager if a fragrance has ever been made with tobacco and whisky? The moment I asked, due to my curiosity, I was then escorted and introduced to the fragrance department where I began my passion for perfume with the first ever fragrance I launched in 1997 as a "promotional model" called L'Homme by Lanvin and the rest is history!

Took a break and started my own business selling tangible assets (commodities). Best 3 years ever BUT I was not in love with what I was doing. Just the money it generated.
Being fragrance certified by FiFi, in 2005 I started to take on bigger roles in establishing NEW brands in the luxury perfume world with roles such as Account Coordinator, Business Management, Fragrance Expert/Trainer and establishing these new brands that were ALL eventually bought out by BIG corporations due to the huge success in NYC.
